Dear Katlyn, Mitchel, and Lexi: I am your great-grandmother on your father's side.I haven't had the pleasure of living near you or the opportunity to be involved in your lives as you grow to adulthood and probably won't this time around. We have all been together in previous lifetimes, and, although we are not physically close in this one, even so, I know you well and love you dearly. I did not know either of my great-grandmothers, and I would be absolutely fascinated and thrilled to have a letter from them telling me about themselves. I would love to know how they lived so long ago, their likes and dislikes, their religious beliefs, what they thought about health and disease. I wonder if they were happy or if their lives were full of sadness and sorrow, and whether or not they had a philosophy of life to sustain them. I wish I knew all about them - maybe a picture - since I am a part of them, and so are you. I have intended to write this for a long time, but now recent current events have reminded me that we never know how long our children will be with us. Maybe someday what I am about to tell you will be of interest to one or all of you and give you a measure of pleasure. I have many amazing and mysterious things to say....... -----TO BE CONTINUED-----

Thank you for the consideration. Since we don't get to see you, it would be nice to get to know you through these letters. We are looking forward to reading them.
