We are in Libra-land with the Moon today..the sign that rules relationships, balance, grace and the finer things in life. Libra energy tends to define itself as part of a pair or a member of a group. Its focus is social - the hostess with the mostest is a Libra creation. Returning to our discussion about how the signs are paired with their opposite energies, we find Aries on the other end of the seesaw, self-focused, self-promoting, self-motivated. Libra can easily lose itself in another person, shape-shifting to create what it thinks is desired by another. The main lesson presented to us by these two is: How do I develop a strong sense of self and individual identity and then maintain that self in the context of my close relationships? How are you doing with that one these days? Friends tease you about being "bipolar"? People who have a lot of opposing planets in the natal chart can exhibit qualities of both extremes from time to time, giving others the impression of being two-faced, inconsistent, or a "split personality". Your chart gives you the opportunity to meet the different parts of yourself and learn to balance and integrate them into a whole, healthy self. We need both sides working together instead of pulling us apart. Book an appointment with me to find out who you have living inside there and how to pull it all together!

Wow. I don't know about you, but time is flying for me these days. The Moon today is in Virgo, bringing us to an awareness of our need for order in the world around us. We frequently, and futilely, attempt to create this through expectations of perfection.....of events, of other people's behaviours, of ourselves. Virgo is the representation of the Divine Feminine, the Goddess of All Creative Force, and it is the sign that truly understands that Divine Perfection is always in operation. It may not look perfect to you...you may not like it...but your Soul does not create something for you for nothing....if you needed a different experience than the one you are having right now....your Soul would be creating THAT experience for you instead of this one. Another one of Virgo's strongest traits is its capacity for worry. A recent conversation drove home the realization for me that WORRY IS PASSIVE CONTROL...meaning....gotta give it up. Surrendering to the experience, standing in your faith in your Soul and what it's doing with you, and turning your attention instead to learning WHY this experience is perfect for you right now can reduce a great deal of stress and strain that is wasted energy and a drain on the system in the first place. Besides, the Goddess can get a little grumpy when you tell Her you don't think Her creation is perfect! Today is the Full Wolf Moon in Leo. Deep in winter's cold, as the wolves howl at the edges of the village, The Sun pours out its golden light to remind us of the warmth radiating from our heart chakras, the pure gold of love, the heat of passion, the comforting embrace of our personal connections. This Moon is the partner to the New Moon 2 weeks ago and brings its new beginning to a first level of fruition. Whatever you started then, whatever you set into motion, comes full circle today in some way. You should be able to enjoy some level of pleasure now from your efforts over the last 2 weeks, some fun to partner with all the work. It's a day to let the fullness of your heart overflow and let the power of Love overtake you. The quote below is attributed to Johnny Depp. Whoever said it, it is wisdom for the full Leo heart: "There are four questions of value in life... What is sacred? Of what is the spirit made? What is worth living for, and what is worth dying for? The answer to each is the same. Only love.” STAY CONNECTED! My full circle for the Full Wolf Moon is the announcement of new programs beginning in February. I will be offering several different study opportunities via conference call and Skype. I feel moved to create a way for everyone to understand your emotional experiences by understanding your Inner Child and developing a healthy, loving relationship with him or her. One group will consist of members who have taken the workshop with me in the past. Another group will be for those who are new to this subject. A third group will be offered to those of you who have Scorpio Moons in your natal chart. I plan to start the calls at the New Moon in Aquarius in early February. For more information, please contact me through this site, on Facebook at Celestial Serendipity, email me at [email protected], or call me at 812-604-2304. More to come! The Moon, nearly Full, has spent the day in Cancer, and we have spent it protecting our soft underbellies. Beneath that shell, which is sometimes quite hard, can lie a hidden and fearful vulnerability. Cancer is a very sensitive energy, and people with strong Cancer charts learn early in life to keep their antennae out and active to catch the first hint of an emotional undercurrent and to protect themselves by feeling what's coming before it hits. Cancer also gives us the capacity for empathic abilities, carrying the emotional charge for someone else, picking up the vibe of the collective consciousness, feeling another's pain as our own. With Saturn in Scorpio for the next 2 years, we are going to need to keep tabs on our emotional worlds and know what it is we are feeling. We also need to know when those emotions belong to someone else and not ourselves. Learning to differentiate between the two is vitally important now, more so than usual. Cancer is ruled by the MOON, and so it also holds within it the concept of the Inner Child, the part of the psyche that contains our capacity for joy and fulfillment, and the part that is more often than not deeply wounded and in need of attention, love and healing. We need to understand our feelings, know what they are there for and what to do with them, and how to listen to their messages and comments on our lives. I will be offering you a way to do that - stay tuned for upcoming announcements - soon. Meanwhile - tomorrow -- Full Wolf Moon in Leo! There will be howling. Gemini is the Moon's territory today, if you didn't notice it flashing a coy smile at Jupiter in the sky tonight. Full of insatiable curiosity, mentally agile and capable of child-like spontaneous joy, Gemini's gift is staying in the moment. For the Moon, however, being this close to Jupiter can really create a double whammy. Ever have one of those days when you had so many ideas you thought your head might explode? Jupiter has a tendency to blow things up trying to stay in a state of constant expansion. This is a good time to practice being in control of your monkey mind. Watch out for its antics today. Whatever you are feeling, pleasant or not, is likely to be out of proportion to the reality of the situation. And go easy on the caffeine and other stimulants - it's a good idea to be kind to your nervous system today. On the other hand, looking at this picture reminds me that it's hard to have fun like this if you're all strung out in an imagined future that might not ever actually occur. The Moon continues in Taurus today. Taurus Moon days may be a bit challenging for the next 2 years or so. Although we have 12 zodiac signs, we truly have 6 pairs of signs. I like to think of them as see-saws. Each sign is inextricably connected to its exact opposite. Where you find Aries, you will find Libra --- somewhere. And so Taurus is paired with its opposite, Scorpio. Each month on the Taurus Moon, these energies will face off with each other, creating a potential for conflict between our need for security and stability and the requirement facing us regarding deep change and transformation. Remember the Ancient Couple, the Moon and Saturn, running across the moor, sitting on their thrones together? Well, right now you can picture them sitting back to back, both with their arms crossed as they look in different directions, disagreeing about what you need vs. what you feel you need. And yes, this CAN stew into an outright duel as early as next weekend -- but it doesn't have to. This is one of those times when we need to pull up what we learned in the last 3 years about BALANCE. They say it's the magic that makes the whole universe go round! The Moon's light continues to build today as it moves through fiery, dynamic Aries, the sign of warriors and heroes. Ruled by Mars, Aries is all about taking action, making decisions, being assertive, and achieving individuation and self-empowerment. The Ram shows us how to "head-butt" our way through a dilemma by finding our courage and being self-promoting and self-motivated. Tricky thing about courage -- we don't call it up for no reason....fear is what requires us to dig deep into our inner resources and find our capacity to be fearless. I was reminded today in a session with a client that, along with our prayers for guidance and our requests for signposts, we are responsible for doing all that we can do to advance down the road of our life's path. These bodies we live in are the vehicles provided to us so that we can have the experiences our Souls desire. I read somewhere long ago that even our holy heroes, Jesus, Mohammad, Moses, and others, did not know the ultimate end of the path each day that they walked it. Yet each of those days they had to make difficult choices and find the strength to take the next step. We walk down the road in faith that we are moving in the right direction. In my experience, your Soul will definitely throw a roadblock in your way if you aren't. And Aries energy walks with us, admonishing us that sometimes we are going to have to be scared......and do it anyway. The Moon moves through Pisces today as its energy continues to build from the New Moon on Friday. I missed posting during the Aquarius Moon due to being "under the weather" because of emotional challenges that came up last week. Pisces is a sign deeply connected to healing, and this experience was an effective reminder to me that we are integrated systems - spiritual, physical, mental and emotional dimensions all interfacing and overlapping within us. We try in our blindness to deal with physical illness as an issue coming from and happening in only the physical body....but, alas, that is not the truth. Your body has a sacred job. Whatever work we are not doing consciously will be left for the body to work out for us. So sometimes - many times, in fact - what's going on with the body doesn't have very much to do with the body at all. Each part of your body is related to an astrological sign, and the symbolism associated with it can give you vital insight about the conversation between your physical self and what's going on in your mind, spirit, and emotions. The house of health in your natal chart also holds a library of information about all four aspects of your well-being. The color for Pisces is lavender. Take a moment now to boost your immune system by visualizing a fountain of this soothing color and fragrance flooding into the crown of your head and flowing down through your body, until you are gently flooded and completely filled with it. Make this quick tune-up part of your winter self-care. The New Year begins energetically today with the powerful rush of fresh Capricorn energy. It's time to get your determination and focus on and structure out how you're going to accomplish your goals. I don't know about the rest of you, but the last two days with the Moon dark in Sagittarius threw me a curve ball. I was hit with an unexpected blast of worry, fear and paranoia that crept in unnoticed on the back of Saturn being in Scorpio. Thankfully, I caught on right away, but still had to do deliberate battle with it for a good 24 hours or so. Last night, I decided I wasn't going to feel any better until I got down and dirty with some early tax preparation paperwork. Sure enough, that did the trick. It grounded me in the reality of the issues I was afraid of, reminded me what a wonderful year this has been, and replaced my worry with renewed hope. The New Moon gives us a chance each month to reinvent ourselves on some level. This time, it's about maturity, realistic common sense, and taking responsibility for the material structures of our lives. What is the goal at the top of your list? Today is the day to take the first step externally and renew your perseverance internally. Happy New Moon Year! The Moon is dark as dark can be today, still in Sagittarius. Tomorrow, we will go into labor for the birth of the New Moon in Capricorn on Friday. We still have a little time to consider our resolutions for 2013, since the real New Year's Day for us will be when the Moon is new for the first time this year. Yesterday, Sag asked us to look at some old beliefs that might be confining us and restricting our growth forward. Today should have brought those old views into sharper focus. Tomorrow, while the Moon is still dark, we will need to translate that insight into a concrete goal that will solidify and concretize the structure needed for that forward movement. Get your backpacks and oxygen tanks ready, check the food and water supply, recommit to the achievement at the end of the road, and get ready to start the climb up the next mountain. Take some real, grounded action on Friday to set the new goal in motion. |
